Friday Night at Folly Beach!

Atlas and his favorite past time!Chasing sand on the left and trying to catch it on the right! Cole doesn't know what the heck his brother thinks is so fun about that! He's waiting for someone or something to say hi to!

<---Watch out for the sandtrap!

Atlas looking for someone to start kicking so he can start chasing and catching. Cole, ever vigilant, searching for that one walker who needs to be greeted and sniffed.

"Can we stay 5 more minutes?" Rest up boys, there's plenty more where that came from. Beach house time is coming up soon!

"Tired boss, dog tired." --John Coffey in "The Green Mile"

It was good to see Atlas' old spark and energy back. He had no interest in his ball whatsoever, it was all sand chasing! Cole, alert and keyed into movement, had no interest in playing with us. He wanted to greet whomever he could! Fortunately, there were not as many dogs or people out there tonight as there usually are, so the boys got a good bit of off the leash time. Atlas is a little better off the leash b/c he is so interested in chasing sand and digging he couldn't care less about what's going on around him, however, Cole is the official meet and greet of where ever he is! He will run full blast up to people (which I can imagine is pretty scary when you see this big ole dog coming up to you at full speed) and literally, look at them, sniff a bit, get a pat usually, and run on back. If I can't get him to stop, I usually just yell ahead of him and say "He's just coming to say hello!" Luckily, Folly Beach folks are pretty dog friendly. You have your occasional crabass, but that's very far and few between and the boys are very rarely off the leash at peak walking time. Anyway, it's off to the dog park tomorrow. Jaime will be off doing his car tuning thing at a race and I will be home alone with the boys, so I figured what better day to go to the park! Slipping back into our old routine and Atlas is keeping up just fine! Perky and bright eyed! Just hope Cole and I can keep up!

Those pics are great...stopped by on my way through Blogmad. Very informative stuff. I'll come back and read more. Looks like your dogs are as important to you and mine is to me. :)
