I thought perhaps if I gave the sad puppy eyes I wouldn't have to get my shot. Boy was I wrong! Not only did I get my blood drawn and a tick pulled off of me, but I got THREE shots! Not one, not two, but three! I weighed 144 lbs this time around so I got 5.2ml of Percorten (DOCP), a distemper shot, and a Lyme's Disease vaccine (Cole got one too...hehe...misery loves company, even in the dog world!).Mom and Dad waited 29 days between shots this time. The doctor originally said to try going 30 days, but Mom and Dad thought I was looking mopey and didn't know if my shot was wearing off or if I was just tired from the increased activity (we are all staying at Grandma & Grandpaw's house while they are scuba diving..we babysit the little dog Chaz and the 2 kitties..one has diabetes). I went in on May 3rd and my bloodwork was perfect:
Sodium:156 (reference range 144-160)
Potassium: 5.1 (reference range 3.5-5.8)
Ratio: 30
I am doing well. I am enjoying being in this big 'ole house. I get to run around the Bird Sanctuary, down the boat ramp trail, through the tall grass, and in the marsh! Smells, smells, and more smells! Cole is enjoying chasing the mice and whatever else he sees in the brush! He
just plunges on in! One crazy little brother I have!Well, that's it for me! The two of us are worn out from our outting to the Bark Park...I swam and Cole waded. Our friend Caesar was there but he didn't visit much with us, he likes to say 'hi' to everyone!!! Still, we had fun! Now we are off to chew on the shank bones Mom got us today at Earthfare and then a nice nap! I've had my bath, smell good, my nails are trimmed, and am ready to chew and sleep! Oh, the life of a dog (a well kept one) is wonderful!

LOL, do you have to use garden shears to clip Dane toenails, or do you Dremel? I use the lopper type ones on the Rotties; my big boy's nails are too thick for the guillotine type and I don't have the patience for Dremelling.

Aww man, dont'cha just hate that puppy eyes? It drives me crazy when mine look at me like that. My cat would even do it when I had to give her treatments everyday before she died.
